Overview

Working Principle
Rubber and elastomer-based vibration absorbers function through their visco-elastic properties. In an unstressed state, rubber molecules are naturally coiled. When subjected to vibration, they stretch, store kinetic energy, and release it slowly, creating elastic hysteresis that effectively dampens vibration.
Dynamic Vibration Absorbers
A dynamic vibration absorber (also known as a vibration neutralizer) is a tuned spring–mass system designed to counteract harmonic vibrations. These systems are particularly effective for rotating machinery where vibration is caused by imbalance or cyclic loading.
